- Paint protective film (PPF) is a soft film material made from thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU). TPU material is incredibly tough and durable, and possesses a “self-healing” property that allows it to return to its original shape if scratched or distressed. PPF can also be designed to be water repellent, stain resistant, and transparently glossy.
